HMC are contractors for the multi-million pound Westlink DBFO1 Project. The Project, which will take 49 months to complete, is the first design, build, finance and operate project in Northern Ireland.  Belfast’s Westlink road runs through the heart of the city and links the North of the province with the South and West.

HMC is a joint venture between John Graham (Dromore) Ltd, Farrans Ltd, and Bilfinger Berger AG Civil, Germany. While Graham and Farrans are well known locally, Bilfinger Berger is an international company and is based in Germany.

Graham was established in and around 1778 .The family owned business, whose head quarters is in Dromore, Co. Down, became incorporated as a private limited company in 1955. Over the years the company has undertaken many significant projects including, most recently the Foyle Bridge, and the M3 Cross Harbour Road & Rail Bridges, Belfast. They completed the M1 Dunleer - Dundalk Motorway (the largest motorway in Ireland and other notable projects include the Royal Victoria Hospital Redevelopment and the Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital.

Farrans are part of the Northstone (NI) Limited group, who in turn are a wholly owned subsidiary of CRH. Recent projects have included the Cross-Harbour Road and Rail Bridge, M3, in a joint venture with Graham, the Tillysburn underpass in 2003, the Blacks Road and Kingsway Bridges in 2004 and strengthening works on the Foyle bridge in 2005.

Bilfinger Berger AG was created through the merger of tradition-rich construction companies whose histories reach back as far as 1880. In that year, master builder August Bernatz completed his first major project in Lorraine. Grün & Bilfinger AG in Mannheim evolved from his firm. A decade later, the two other predecessor companies emerged: Julius Berger Tiefbau AG and Berlinische Boden-Gesellschaft.  The Bilfinger Berger Group takes on demanding construction contracts for clients in both the private and public sectors. In addition, the Group is increasingly developing comprehensive solutions for real-estate and infrastructure projects, ranging from the design process all the way to the financing and providing operational services
